  • Introduction

A well-known manufacturer of sanitary fittings approached our sales team with a challenging task. It concerned achieving a uniform matt finish with different tools on different machines.

  • Analysis

Thanks to the detailed report from our technical sales representative, we were able to accurately identify the task.

Challenge: The fittings are assembled from different parts that are produced at different locations of the manufacturer using different machines. Nevertheless, the line pattern must be uniform on all parts.

  • Solutions
  • Using samples provided by the customer and internal tests, we were initially able to find a preliminary selection of suitable tools for finishing at the Kreeb Technical Centre.
  • The results were presented in an on-site meeting based on a test report. As there were several tools to choose from, we also examined the various options regardng the existing manufacturing capabilities and suggested optimisations.
  • Recommendations
  • The final tool was sent to the fittings manufacturer for testing on its machines and under its operating conditions.
  • The tools were further optimised based on these test results.
  • Finally, the customer received the ideal tool for their task.
  • The implementation was successful thanks to the excellent and close cooperation with the manufacturer. By optimising internal processes and adjusting some machine parameters, it was also possible to reduce the cycle time of the automated system.
